Luke 4:1-13
The devil tempts Jesus with three scenarios, each of which Jesus shows to be false choices based upon faulty premises. Sometimes it seems, especially in our more and more polarized public life, as if we are presented with similarly false choices. What does Jesus say and do? How might we, through the eyes of faith, recognize and reject the oversimplified false dichotomies we encounter?
