Global Ministries is the common witness of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the United Church of Christ responsible for nurturing relationships with international partners on behalf of Disciples and the UCC. Global Ministries’ mission is to receive and share the Good News of Jesus Christ by joining with global and local partners to work for justice, reconciliation and peace. Global Ministries has over 270 partner churches and organizations in about 70 countries around the world.
What Can I Do?
1. PRAY for the work of Global ministries around the world to empower and assist those most in need. Pray each week for the mission partner featured in the Sunday bulletin.
2. LEARN: Visit www.globalministries.org to learn more about Global Ministries. Go to globalministries.org/about-us/passport.html for a printable passport that will help you learn more about the journey and to personalize your involvement as a traveling companion.
3. TELL THE STORY: Consider attending a Ministries and Mission Interpreters (MMI) training to learn more about Global Ministries and become a part of the network of the 1100 plus Dis-ciples and UCC MMIs who are advocating for the work of Global Ministries around the globe.
4. DONATE: Cash or Check: Make checks payable to WGCC and write “Global Ministries” in the memo line.
