Luke 24:1-12
“Believing an Idle Tale”
10 Now it was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them who told this to the apostles. 11 But these words seemed to them an idle tale, and they did not believe them.
Why in the world would WE believe such a tale? What is it that we have to proclaim today? Why would we proclaim life in the face of death, hope in the midst of despair, love in the presence of hate, possibility instead of denial? What is the premise of our Easter acclamation? What is its promise?
