Luke 3:1-14
After Luke sets up who’s who in the high places – Emperors, kings, ruler, and high priests, John the Baptist proclaims a hopeful direction to those in the valleys. How do we get ready for the coming Messiah – the one who has ALREADY come? We experience rebirth, renewal, and we reorient our lives. The coming of the Messiah, John says, is about bearing fruit by sharing our lives and our resources. It’s about letting go of fear creating new straight paths where none existed before.
