Jeremiah 18:1-11
“The Potter’s Hand”
When we harden our positions, we make it harder for God to work with us. When clay is still on the wheel, and the potter is in constant contact with it, it stays soft and responsive. Are we willing to be shaped by God? Have we hardened ourselves, imagining that we’re finished products? What will it mean to us to acknowledge God’s ongoing presence and influence in our lives and on our congregation, and to know that change can be a good thing. What kind of “turning” must we do to be faithful?
