Ezekiel 34:11-24
“Fat Sheep and Lean Sheep”
Shepherds care about the whole flock. They just do. It is the work of the shepherd to make sure all the sheep have what they need to thrive. Here in Ezekiel we see that sheep have responsibilities too. When some sheep get fat at the expense of others, they will be judged. When some dirty the waters so others can’t drink, they will be judged. If we respect, adore, and wait for our Good Shepherd, we must live lives that honor, appreciate, and care for one another. How to we use and share resources? How can we remember that our personal wellbeing and communal wellbeing are connected?
