Development Consultant for Kirkwood Area Every Child Promise 2018 Golf and Dinner Fundraiser

Request for proposals:

Kirkwood Area Every Child Promise seeks assistance in raising $25,000 in corporate sponsorships for its October 1, 2018 annual golf tournament and dinner to benefit Kirkwood Area Every Child Promise, a community effort to support family wellbeing in under-resourced families through access to high quality early childhood education, health and mental health services, and community participation, including, but not limited to programs such as preschool scholarships, Parents as Teachers, Head Start, and Nutrition on Weekends (NOW).

The golf tournament is held at Westborough Country Club Golf Course and typically nets more than $25,000 in revenues. This growing golf tournament and dinner event has typically had 80 – 100 in attendance (with a 2018 goal of 150 total golfers and diners) and is advertised to more than 2000 area golfers and community members. This is the first year KAEChP will seek this level of corporate support. KAEChP will rely on an experienced, dedicated consultant to grow sponsorships.

Consultant will spend a minimum of 40 hours over the course of no more than one month identifying fewer than 50 corporate prospects who may be interested in supporting Kirkwood area families in need through the golf tournament. Consultant will prepare proposals and make personal contacts to at least 25 prospects with the goal of securing a minimum of five corporate sponsors to donate a total of $25,000. Consultant will be able to show expertise needed to create sponsorship packets that are attractive to the prospective sponsors but meet the mission of the Kirkwood Area Every Child Promise. The consultant will be responsible for all expenses related to this effort. Consultant will bill Kirkwood Area Every Child Promise for services rendered at conclusion of one month and invoice for hours worked.

Interested parties should submit their resume, cover letter, and examples of previously submitted proposals to Jeff Moore by 2/23/18 at jeffmoore@wgcc.org. Questions regarding this request may be submitted to jeffmoore@wgcc.org by 2/20/18.
