An art show.

4 p.m.- 5 p.m.: “Portraits of Courage” gallery opening.

Artist Phyllis MacLaren’s human rights series tells stories of

actual people. She began working on the project in 2010, and

today her series continues. This project entails extensive research

on the person portrayed in her art, with words in both English

and the subject’s language.

5 pm: “In The Name of Love.” A concert by Wind of the

Spirit honoring Dr. Martin Luther King featuring the music of U2.

The concert is free, but any donations and all proceeds will

benefit the Disciples Anti-Racism/Pro-Reconciliation Initiative.
