PR-AR

The Christian Church in Mid-America is committed to becoming a  Pro-Reconciling/Anti-Racist Church. As one of its top four priorities,
Pro-Reconciliation/Anti-Racism (PRAR) is intimately tied to our church’s mission to be a church that demonstrates true community, deep Christian spirituality and a passion for justice. This initiative seeks to nurture the wholeness of the church through educating and engaging congregational leaders and members to dismantle systemic racism and other oppressive structures that impact our daily lives.  To help our congregations meet the challenge of this priority the region is actively providing opportunities for education and training.  The Mid-America PRAR Team encourages you to take advantage of these opportunities and become part of the solution of dismantling racism.

1:00 pm – 5:00 pmOn Thursday, October 6, 2016 the PRAR Team, in partnership with Drury University History, Philosophy & Religion, is hosting a
Pre-Assembly Pro-Reconciliation/Anti-Racism Workshop

Drury University Findlay Student Center.

The cost is minimal, $10.00 which includes registration and workshop materials.

This session will fulfill the new clergy requirement of periodic PRAR training recently adopted by the Commission on the Order of Ministry.

During the Regional Assembly on Saturday, October 8 another PRAR education opportunity will be available during the Learning Opportunities session in the afternoon.

Be sure to add these sessions to your Assembly registration!

We hope to see you at the 2016 Regional Assembly!
